This is my first post on the new blog. I’ll be writing about software engineering, AI, how the role of a software engineer is changing and things I have leaned along the way.
Why a blog?
I’ve been meaning to start a blog for a number of years. However, for various reasons I haven’t done so. Was it the fear of getting started, not believing I would have anything interesting to write about, assuming no one would read it or sheer laziness. It could have been any or all of these.
The idea of starting a blog came into my mind again recently and I thought why not come up with a plan to realise this using AI. I as well as many other engineers are using AI in our daily workflows, this seemed like a good way to both experiment and have something real at the end of it.
So here it is, a fully functional blog spun up within a couple of hours!
Whilst the engineering side of things leverages AI, all posts will be hand written. Original content and thought is hard to come by today with the mass adpotion of AI, so it’s becoming even more valuable. Using this blog as a dedicated space to keep a record of my thoughts and insights, to help solidify my reasoning and to share my experiences seems like a good idea to me.
